    Job Description:
    To assist with activities and the day-to-day organisation of the scheme.
    Whilst being supervised, this will include:
    Taking part in the day-to-day administration, record keeping, ordering and purchasing materials and equipment.
    Providing safe, creative, appropriate play activities, preparation of activities, organisation of programme etc.
    Encouraging parental involvement and support.
    Close liaison with parents, school representatives, other childcare/play related agencies and visitors to the scheme.
    Attend meetings as appropriate.
    Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.
    Information
    11 hours per week Monday to Thursday Term time 3.10pm – 5.10pm and Friday 2.50pm to 6.05pm term time. If the candidate can work extra to cover sickness and holidays this would be of an advantage to the employer. This could mean the ability to stay on till 6.05pm if needed and working some breakfast clubs 7.30am – 9.00am
    School holidays minimum of 20 hours per week approx. between 7.30am – 6.00pm. Shifts are normally either 7.30am – 1.00pm or 12.30pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday

    Paid annual leave
    Childcare/Play Work training will be provided if needed.
    The successful applicant will be trained up to eventually act as a session leader when managerial staff are absent so a level of competence, reliability and trustworthiness is expected whilst always acting in a professional manner.
    Paediatric First Aid training provided
    Safeguarding Training provided
    Food hygiene training provided

Information

Summer holidays from Wednesday 22nd July to Friday 21st August 8.30am – 4.30pm excluding lunch break Monday to Friday.

There may be a possibility the position will be extended to other holiday periods.
