After School Club

Children are encouraged to bring and use their school water bottles. Fresh drinking water is always available, and we provide spare cups if needed.

Our afternoons are led by the children—every day is different as their interests and play needs change. We provide a wide range of toys, equipment, crafts, and resources for both indoor and outdoor play, leaving plenty of room for imagination.

Staff support children’s ideas, crafts, games, and topics, making sure everyone is included and having fun. We also celebrate special events and festivals together.

FAQs

How does my child get from school to Prime Time?
We are on school site, when school finishes children in Key Stage 2 ( Years 3,4,5 and 6 ) walk to ourselves via the playground using our back entrance. All exits are secure. These children’s classrooms can be viewed by the Prime Time building and everyone is in very close proximity.  Children in Key Stage 1 (Years R, 1 and 2) are collected from their classrooms by Prime Time staff

Can I collect at any time or does it need to be on the hour?
Any time is fine and you are charged up to the next closest hour  according to the time on the register when you left

Do I collect my child from the front door?
Yes, please ring the bell and be patient while we bring your child to you

Can I visit?
Yes, you can make an appointment to visit out of session times  . Just ask us  and your be very welcome . You can also see lots of what we do on this website and on our Facebook page

My child wants to do a school club but I would still need Prime Time afterwards until I finish work?
That’s fine,  children can attend any school clubs and then come to us afterwards. Charges apply  as normal depending on the time the child gets collected

Can my child have a cooked dinner with Prime Time?
No, we do not provide any meals  but we do provide snacks. We are however always happy to heat up food prepared at home or allow the children to eat a packed lunch from home for their dinner if parents request and provide the food.

What activities do you do?
We take the children’s lead and support their interests, giving them the freedom to plan and undertake their own ideas  for activities and play . We provide a range of resources and materials to support this and ignite curiosities . We have no set times to do things although snack normally comes at the start of the session before we all go off and engage in the play environment.

How much notice do I need to give you to book sessions, I’m not always sure what shifts I am working in advance?
We understand that not every parent works set days and shifts and this can make childcare arrangements stressful. We therefore only require 24 hours notice to book a place ( as long as we have a space available). You may email, call, text or WhatsApp us a message to book the place.  If you do know your shifts you can book in advance , some parents book weekly or termly for example and some parents book all year round until further notice.

Do you carry on my booking each term or do I need to rebook each time?
We carry them on, if you have booked set days we will assume they are the same next term unless you let us know differently .

What if I need to cancel days because I no longer require a session or my child is sick and not in school?
All absences should be reported to us  alongside school.    We need 1 weeks notice by the Friday before the week ahead to receive no charges. So any cancels within the week due to attend will be charged but if you inform us on the Friday before for the week ahead you will not.

How do I pay?
You will receive a monthly invoice (by email) at the start of each month to be paid by the 10th of each month for that months previous usage. We ask you pay by BACS where possible  or use childcare vouchers / tax – free childcare accounts if they are available to you. If not cash or cheque at the setting is fine.  Find out more on our Fees and Policies page.
